Vegan MoFo 2018 Day 16: Pantry Meal

Vegan MoFo Prompt Day 16: Pantry Meal

This recipe is a version of one we developed while I was working at Weirdigans Organic Cafe, travelling around the festival circuit many years ago. It's very simple and quick to make, using things you're likely to have hanging about in your kitchen with a relatively long shelf life.

Vegan MoFo 2018 Day 13: Snacks without the packaging in Edinburgh and Glasgow

Vegan MoFo Prompt Day 13: Snacks without the packaging (unfortunately some personal circumstances have made this post a day late)

Once I saw this prompt for VeganMoFo day 13, I knew exactly what I wanted to post about: two awesome low packaging shops in the central belt of Scotland which offer the option to fill your own container in order to reduce waste. In Edinburgh, we have the wonderful and (relatively) well-established New Leaf Co-op, whilst Locavore has recently opened up across in Glasgow.

The way it works is that you can take in your own jar or tupperware box which gets weighed, then you fill it with your foodstuff of choice and it gets weighed again, so that they can work out the difference and charge you accordingly. Brilliantly simple!

Vegan MoFo 2018 Day 9: Nut-free Vegan Cheese Fondue

Vegan MoFo Prompt Day 9: Creamy Without Nuts

The other day Paul told me that he had never eaten fondue before and of course, I immediately knew that this needed to be rectified! Although I have a go-to cashew-based vegan cheese fondue/sauce recipe that I use fairly regularly, I decided to have a go at making a fondue without any nuts in. Here's what I came up with, and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it if I do say so myself!

Vegan MoFo 2018 Day 2: 😂 My Dad Wrote a Porno 😂

Vegan MoFo Prompt Day 2: Emoji Inspired

As soon as I saw the Vegan MoFo prompt for today, I knew exactly which emoji I would choose: 😂

Having listened to a variety of different podcasts over the years, I started listening to the My Dad Wrote a Porno podcast last year and I can tell you now that I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life as I have done listening to this one! When Paul and I travelled to Peru for a holiday together in January this year, he told me he could always tell I was listening to that one when I would start shaking with laughter on the flight, and eventually he started listening along too to find our what on Earth I was finding so hilarious. Needless to say, he was soon captivated by the bizarre world of Steeles Pots and Pans!

Vegan MoFo 2018 Day 1: Introduce Yourself!

Vegan MoFo Prompt Day 1: Introduce Yourself

Hello! My name is Imogen and I live in Edinburgh with my partner, Paul, and our four rescue cats: Roxy, Sophie, Luna and Spook. In total, that gives us a household of 20 legs when you add them all together, which suits us just fine!

So how did I get here? In the spirit of introducing myself as part of the Vegan Month of Food 2018, let me tell you a bit about my own vegan journey.
